I have been trying for weeks to apply for a Neotel account, as Telkom has yet to install lines in my area. So far it has been a very bad joke.
First, I went to Postnet and applied using the form. Told to wait 1-2 days for a response regarding my coverage. That was 2 months ago and I never recieved a call.
Last month, after waiting for ages for Neotel to call me, I called the Neotel call centre. After giving out all my details (and being told I wasn't contacted because they can't find my address on their map) I was told the internet is down, and was told that everything would be sorted out and I would be called back to finalise the details for someone to come around and have a look. Once again the call never came.
Today, I was desperate enough to make yet another call. This time the representative just seemed ready to hang up. I asked to have someone come round and test for the Prime service, since the border for coverage falls literally on across the road from my house. Nope, if it isn't on the map, they refuse to even try. The call centre person started saying goodbye before I could even ask for them to come and test the Lite. Got put through to Technical, where I sat on hold for 10 minutes before the call was disconnected.
Did anybody else have this many issues? It seems to me like Neotel are actively trying to discourage me from using their service?
