Myisp choked my uncapped adsl beyond dial up speeds

I have un uncapped adsl account with My Isp. Ive been unable to download anyhting since about a week ago and I did not bother to read about the major problem with the Seacom cable being out:D

It might be the seacom cable that is out, every ISP is struggling at the moment. There's plenty on the forums about this though.

The cable has been out now since last weekend, the effect is that most ISP's are struggling to provide international connectivity and downloads are severely throttled.
 
Dude.. seriously.. read the forum, the news or listen to your ISP.

Theres a major problem at the moment.
 
I spent most of the day on the phone with clients complaining about this. Of course the clients who sit on FB all day mostly and don't do anything else. Local works well. I tell them: Go to www.myadsl.co.za...does it work? Yes? It's a local site. Now go to (insert international site). Does it work? No? See, the link is down. Not just for you, for EVERYBODY!

I am on Cybersmart. I downloaded about 5gb on torrents over the weekend(international torrents). All speeds were fine. Hardly affecting my personal internet usage.
 
o_0 actually I was going with Read The F****** Manuel.... but yeah I guess it could mean that 2 :)
