I was at Gateway this afternoon looking for something for the LO to wear.... the shops were fairly busy but nothing manic except for the football shirt section of each shop! They were manic! This was the case in Edgars, Game, Ackermans,Total Sports, Sportsmans Warehouse, Mr Price Sports, Pick n Pay clothes... in fact any shop that had football stuff had people milling around those areas choosing things. In Edgars they brought out boxes of kiddies world cup stuff and it was not even unpacked yet and people were buying the stuff.

The genuine ones with the "breathing material" are around R599. I got 100% polyester one with the SAFA logo on the one side, the SA sports protea on the other and Adidas in the middle for R199 from Edgars.

I've seen most of the 32 jerseys, Edgars active, Sportsmans, that other sports clothing store that falls under foschini(cant remember the name), Adidas Concept store, Cross Trainer, or at your local traffic light

What does being a coloured from cape town have to do with buying other jersey's? Are you saying all coloureds from cape town buy other team's jerseys and burns them?

make sure its edgars active, the normal edgars just have football branded hoodies, jackets and t-shirts

Sorry I did not realise this forum was now only meant for posts which are helpful. Please would you set to work cleaning up the millions of threads in which I have seen numerous unhelpful posts!
As for ethnic stereotyping I think any reasonable person would realise that I was referring to that segment of the Cape community who used to, and many still do, support teams playing against South African teams for political reasons!
Next time I'll put a few smiley faces and winks so you can see that the post was clearly meant in jest. I would have thought the reference to burning them would have given that away.....
