Sentech feeling left out in SMTP race with Iburst

These guys are useless

Spamcop has blocked
host 66.18.69.33 = smtp.sentechsa.com (cached)

6.18.69.33 listed in bl.spamcop.net (127.0.0.2)

If there are no reports of ongoing objectionable email from this system it will be delisted automatically in approximately 9 hours.

This is really great so i must wait till 9am to mail work to my office because these dimwits feel left out in the "HOW TO STUFF UP SMTP SERVICE" with iburst.........

After not b!tching for 6 months.............. I Give up.
 
And who on this earth still uses an email account from an ISP which will be most likely a heaven for spambots from infected PC's.

Save yourself grief and use gmail ... can even use it via an email client.
 
Was using SMTP server to send out mail............ has worked with no problems since JAnuary, then this..............................

Trust me i will be changing shortly...................... actually changed already!!!!

iBurst clients ;)
 
Perhaps Sentech needs to block smtp like Iburst that would prevent them getting blacklisted. ;) ducks for flames
 
If you are able to do so, you can set your email client up to use your own personal outgoing mail server to send mail, thereby bypassing the Sentech mail server. This is not very difficult. Go to Tools, options, email accounts and find your email entry. Click on change, more settings, outgoing server and specify it to use the settings for incoming mail. Then change your outgoing mail server from smtp.sentechsa.com to eg mail.mweb.co.za or whatever yours happens to be.

what is the feeling about using gmail as the incoming and outgoing mail server? I have just signed up a free gmail account and they give this option although I haven't implemented it yet

Works OK, just somewhat slow.
