Hi

I have never had any problems registering on any website up untill this morning when I tried to register on www.tdu-central.com, the website refused and told me that my IP address was listed on http://www.stopforumspam.com/search?q=196.46.71.251 as a IP from which forum spam has been posted in the past.

I can't regiter on that website untill I either use another IP address (this is what the TDU Central support team told me, is this even possible?) or untill I get my IP address removed from beforementioned Stop Forum Spam site.

So please Iburst tell me how I can get a new IP, get my IP removed from the blacklist or give me the contact details for 'Edward_l.uke' (Luke Edward perhaps?) so that I can rant at him for getting the IP blacklisted in the first place!

Please help me as I feel it's unfair for me to be punished as a result of another person's irresponsible and downright stupid behaviour!

Disconnect, wait 5 minutes, connect and hope you are assigned another IP address :)

Thanks for the replies. I fortunately got the IP address removed from the Spam blacklist and can now register on the website.

I was however not able to get a new IP address assigned to me (bad luck I suppose). I did what you suggested and even left my modem off for 10min, but I still got the same problem.

More than likely someone's PC has a virus that spams out. Those of you with firewalls will notice an alarming amount of incoming connection attempts from IP 41.*.*.*. My very first experience with iBurst was with a fresh XP install. Before I could download AVG and comodo my connection was already spamming out tons of data (caught it at 100MB upload and 30MB download)

You can check both your IP address and see if your IP is blacklisted by visiting MyIP.org.za it can also detect proxies that sit between you and your ISP. As well as if you using a tor exit node. I wrote it to further my knowledge of high performance web applications and do general diagnostics on servers that have nothing on them other then Lynx since to many of them required javascript detection etc.
