Among others, Zuma referred to breakaway groups such as Cope, saying the problems Cope is currently experiencing is proof that "the ancestors are making them sick".

"Such groups will never be able to exist outside the ANC; they will die," said Zuma.

He said the ANC is stronger than ever, and despite several attempts to sabotage the party in the past, no-one will succeed in undermining the ANC.

"The ANC will exist forever. If you try to harm the party, the ancestors will expose you."

Zuma was the guest speaker on Sunday during the party's Imvuselelo (revival) campaign.

Wow. What do you get with an uneducated and superstitious voting population coupled with a party that knows how to play them? A: A one party state, ie, NOT DEMOCRACY!

Next step is to warn them that the ANCYL will beat them if they leave.
 
Both are pretty bad IMHO. Can we get rid of all the superstitious nonsense, whether its about burning bushes or prophets or messiahs? Great story material but not much use for living your life.

Actually neanderthal DNA have been found in people from Europa and Asia and its absent from Africans.

In addition, all modern ethnic groups, other than Africans, carry traces of Neanderthal DNA in their genomes, the study says—which at first puzzled the scientists. Though no fossil evidence has been found for Neanderthals and modern humans coexisting in Africa, Neanderthals, like modern humans, are thought to have arisen on the continent.

Zuma should really pick up a history book sometime before assuming the ancestors are his political guardians riding the same gravy train as the ANC. The zulu's repeatedly slaughtered their own kind over hundreds of years, even their own relatives and kings weren't spared their spears. If anything, the zulu's ancestors would be hell bent on revenge.

funny, but i think colloquial usage has changed the meaning somewhat (particularly since lower case was used):

1. of or pertaining to Neanderthal man.
2. ( often lowercase ) Informal . primitive, unenlightened, or reactionary; culturally or intellectually backward.

Did he not sleep with the daughters of fellow party members and transmitted/contracted HIV ?

Gee, I guess you get sick if you stay in the ANC as well :p
