MTN SMS Costs

Why is it that every MTN contract charges 86c per sms irrespective of peak/offpeak time?
Voda differentiates between peak [about 80c] and offpeak [about 35c] times, yet MTN does not bother.

I really wanted to switch to MTN, but it's too damn costly.
CMON MTN - Catch a wakeup - at least blerry match the competition.

heard somewhere that the total cost to the operator - including infrastructure, labour etc - is less than 1 cent per sms....

That's an option - yup, makes my monthly contract payment R129 (MyCall100) + R40 (Sms Bundle) = 169.

Vodacom also has SMS bundles - What a surprise - R33 for 100 / R113 for 500 / R 450 for 2000 [Oooh Oooh MTN wins here...].

Me wants to Go-over to MTN cos Teklom owns 50% of Voda.

and dont be forgetting 50 sms's for R25.00 or even 200 sms's for R50.00?

SMS Bundles/Credits dont' expire on SMSWorx.co.za, and no monthly or setup fees
