Simple Explanation Of Broadband - comments please?

Hi there,

Broadband wars are now hotting up here in Australia - but the telco's here still havnt quite got the point about explaining their pricing and plans over exactly what broadband internet is.

I have set up a website, to hopefully rise up in the search engines to help explain to the average Joe - Broadband in Simple Terms.

Can you have a look and give me some feedback? Obviously - I am no designer, and if I was to try and make it look pretty... it would look worse.

I am looking to see if a)My explanations are off in anyway b)if anything is wrong. c)Spelling mistakes / Grammar etc..

Basically - I want it to end up being a reference that people will link to and learn from.

Broadband ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) uses your existing phone or fax line to deliver a high-speed Internet connection.
ADSL makes use of existing telephone cable for standard telephony devices (such as your telephone or fax machine), and also as a high-speed data connection to your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
It does this by converting the data from your computer or LAN (Local Area Network) to high-frequency audio signals. These high-frequency signals can travel along your normal telephone cable at the same time as signals from your phone or fax.
An ADSL modem is the only essential hardware for Broadband Internet. It performs the same role as a standard 56k modem, but it operates at a much higher frequency and at much higher speeds.
A filter is used to prevent errant high-frequency noise from being transmitted by your telephone or fax, and to stop the high-frequency digital signal from being detected by your telephony devices.
