Fourie du Preez out for the season?

I wish it could be Sarel Pretorius, but it will be Ruan Pienaar.

I just hope FdP will at his best come world cup. We have enough talent at 9, will be interesting to see if this has any difference on how Morne plays...

It's a no brainer and ironically the break Ruan's career needs. Once and for all Ruan at 9.... :)

Ruan is playing in Europe so he won't be considered...

Drop RP like a hot potato. This is the PERFECT opportunity to at least give Kockott a start. I'd say against France actually, to test his mettle going in to the trinations - he WILL NOT disappoint. He is cool under pressure and has BMT - something lacking in his Sharkie compatriot.

That will be the test. If he does keep playing well or even improves I hope the opinions of some people will change. But the same might happen just to the negative side. To have Fourie as your scrummie does make anything a lot easier :)

+1 I also sayy play him now!

I would not mind seeing Kockott have a go. He might be just what we need to get the backline firing :)

Not sure I agree with your sentiments. Kockott has shown he is hot headed and impetuous at the best of times. Having said I love his tenacity and the intensity with which he approaches every outing. As far as BMT, or the lack thereof is concerned, play Kockott at 10 and I'm sure he would exhibit similar characteristics. Ruan's as much a flyhalf as Os Du Randt was a flyhalf.

Shhhhhhh the lancelogical probes might be lurking :p:D

Januarie FTW
I mean think about it logically, Januarie starts then replaces John at hooker. Everyone wins!

I hope the only place I will see Januarie during the 2011 world cup is at McDonalds. The oke is lucky not to have knocked on from his boep.

Ruan Pienaar is great but he needs a run in one position for a couple of months. He showed how much better he was at 9 during the latter stages of the s14. I think between him and Hougaard we have ample coverage for FdP. Duvenage and Kocket are also great but im not sure they have the mettle for test rugby. Duvenage is still young though.

I don't like Kockott, but he is better than RiP...

I like the way Kockott plays, he reminds me allot of Joost in his prime.

I would say give him a shot above Ruan, Ruan has what it takes to play no9 for SA but a new lively scrummy is what SA needs I say :)

I do understand to an extent why Januarie was chosen. The team would have been very low on experience (no I am not saying it is Captain januarie to the recue!) and I think they wanted to take a couple of more experienced players with to help the new guys.
