I know this isn't reallly the place for this topic, but does anyone else have any problem accessing callquest? For the past week or so it has been impossible (have checked security settings, seems fine) Anyone got an idea?

I can access other sites requiring the lowering of security settings in the firewall like Exactmobile and so, but callquest just does not respond.

Working for me in firefox 1.0.4 on gentoo over adsl [mweb].

Any error messages ?

No error messages in IE, but in firefox it displays: "the connection timed out"

Just that. It worked fine two weeks ago

Works for me, with loss98, Firefox and scumtech.

However, when I was in the US I could not access it with (I assume because of) US ip addresses

Accessing call quest

Hi

What URL are you browsing to access callquest and can you check what your IP address is when your connected?

Regards,

I go through "www.mtnsp.co.za" and then click on the online billing pic, whichafter it loads the next page without a prob. I then click on "go to callquest", but after a while it finally gives up and displays the standard error message.

I am using firefox and IE with all settings on default.

I have tried "callquest.mtnsp.co.za", but the same applies.

In firefox the exact message is "the connection timed out when attempting to contact register.mtnsp.co.za"

I have recently formatted / reinstalled all software on my pc, but the same prob still occurs.

I now lowered all security levels and disabled norton, but still the same.

How do I see whether the ip address is viewable?

I have verified that callquest is working and also tried out callquest myself using the internet apn just to make sure and it works fine for me. All I can suggest is you private mail me the MTN number so someone from our side can phone you to find out what is happening.

Hi

Thanks for the details, I am busy doing some tests and should find a resolution to your problem shortly.
If you are using your phone via cable/blue tooth/infra red as a modem with a PC, you can just do ipconfig in dos to see what IP address was allocated to you when connected.

This will help narrow the problem down much quicker.

Regards,

The ip address viewable. Everytime.

Secure sites such as fnb.co.za are accessible to me. And I can log into mtn.co.za. So I doubt it is a security setting / software issue.

Today I tried logging in to callquest from the office and it went in first time. I will try connecting with my phone from the office and see what it does a little later.

I have checked to see if I can access callquest with my phone as gprs modem at the office and I can't. It seems when trying to use mtn gprs it just does not want to allow access. So it has something to do with MTN GPRS, whether it be only my area, I don't know.

Anyone else with this problem when connecting through callquest via gprs modems? Or does it relate spesifically to my phone (n 6630)?

I also have the problem on mtn gprs. I also have a N 6630. Though what that could have to do with it is mystical.

this is my situation accessing callquest.

IE and ADSL is fine
Firefox and ADSL is fine
IE and GPRS is fine
Firefox and GPRS fails.

When can we expect to get this Callquest issue resolved? Surely this is not rocket science?

In the meanwhile we have absolutely no idea how much of our bundle we have used.

Callquest Problem

Hi,

Can I please ask the users having problems with call quest please let me know what IP address you are being allocated when connecting as well in what area are you?

Regards,
Quinton

FWIW I just logged on (firefox & scumtech) and see that it has had a facelift with easier navigation buttons and better view of the statement.

I have pm'ed mtn083, but just to add, I also can't even access mtnsp.co.za
