Ok it seems that there is more confusion regarding park and ride and if you need to show your ID than who is Zuma's wife.

So let me start with Park and ride. Where is it going from, what is a reliable source to check. If someone can clear it up for me because there are so many opinions

Here is no northgate and tickets are R50, WTF??

Then the amazing fifa ticketing system messed up my tickets and all my tickets has someone else's name on it, I phoned FIFA and they said I shouldn't worry because they won't check it at the gate, they can't tell the public but FIFA has told them there will be no checking.

So would be nice th get the right information, feedback from other forumites if they used the service or the ticketing conspiracy.
 
All free in Cape Town, except R10 at Grand West.

This includes

1. Free train ride for match ticket holders to CT Station (incl free parking at train stations and parking sites)
2. Free Match Day shuttle from the CBD to the stadium
3. Free Match Day shuttle from the stadium to the CBD
4. Free train ride for match ticketholders from CT station
 
Fifa can go **** themselves

Called the ticketing center in Sandton to find out if there is a way of transferring the tickets to my name so that there is no confusion at the game, a lady by the name of episeng said that it's not their problem anymore and I need to get a affidavits for all the games otherwise they will not let me in.

So their mistake, and afterwards I need to find a solution

Are your tickets printed?

Btw, in Gauteng you get free train rides with Prasa. Not sure how safe it will be, but I imagine there'll be extra security.

Ya it's printed, fifa made a mistake and printed all 9 tickets with one name, and that person is not going with me to all the games.

I will give the trains a skip, not even the criminals ride that thing ...
 
PE has park and rides at Andrew Rabie High School, St George's Park. It cost R5 per person.

There are park and walks at Cille and Dr Viljoen Schools.

PRASA trains to the stadium are free.
 
So I bought my Joburg Park&Ride tickets from ticketbreak.co.za, but they don't have anything from Pretoria. And neither does Computicket.

Does anyone have any info on this?
 
Get there early. Leave 4 hours before the match. Use public transport!
 
Ticket ownership - They check absolutely nothing at the stadiums so no point in changing names etc, don't even bother to take a letter. I purchased 10 Tickets for myself and the family and only my name appears on the ticket. Must I issue nine letters to each ticket holder in my family???? Are they going to check 80000 tickets for the correct names when entering the stadiums??? I have been for a few matches and no one checked anything. According to a FAFI spokesman tht was on 702, the Vague reason he gave for names on the ticket is that if something happens to you at the stadium then they can identify you.

Park & Ride / Walk. Found it easier to take the Park & Walk (Gauteng Stadiums) as it was shorter distance walk from the Park & Walk to the Stadium, then to go to a Park & Ride, walk to the Bus stop, get the bus and then walk to the stadium from where the bus drops you off.
