Spamming of high cap providers has got to stop

Yup, and it's getting boring. We should have one thread that handles new prices - that's it.

Or perhaps just give them their own section for now. Enter at your own risk and with a pinch of salt applied :)

No threads should be devoted to pricing- I believe that all suppliers should pay for advertisement and that RPM might add a comparison page with a bulletin board., which can be used for announcements of new, cheaper, better products.

Well you have to admire their strategies if they are advertising on this forum. It means they are targeting the right market and they take MyADSL seriously. Can anyone imagine what would happen if telkom or any other of the more infamous providers snuck in advertising? I say it would pretty funny really quickly. But the spamming has to stop. If they want to advertise, they better pay for it. Otherwise some of the moderators ought to get holy on those users.

/me nods

Wow. You're complaining about high cap providers spamming the forums at cheaper and cheaper prices.

Christ, what would you have paid for 30g a month, 1 year ago? R 3000? Now we're bitching about a couple of post spams?

Whilst I agree that "low post count" posers are becoming a problem, I hardly think it's a "major frigging issue".

... ditto to that, too. Bottom line - remaining vigilant is a good thing, if only to stop the likes of ayce and their sycophants from using this forum as a free marketing mechanism...

Let me explain it better. I have no problem is someone wants to pay for advertsing space. I have no problem if someone posts a question about these companies or where he can get high cap accounts and is given a list of them. I have no problem if someone from a high cap company see's a adsl users post about a problem, and sends them a PM about high cap services

I have a problem when the response to an adsl users problem is, "you are capped here is a list of high cap account providers", especially when the problem has bugger all to do with being capped and the response does not help the person resolve problem and is nothing more than either a shameless advertising plug.

I don't have a problem with them "spamming" to keep costs down, they shouldn't overdo it though.

if those posts were problem, then the mods would have deleted them in the earlier stage?

how do you suggest someone controlls that without being draconian?
damn you kar, damn you and all your valid points.....grrrrr
I don't have a decent solution on this to be honest. I was hoping that by bringing up the subject someone might come up with one.
