Development Team Leader (A2)
My client, who is at the forefront of creating the next major computing platform, is looking for a software development team leader to join their world class team in Cape Town.
You need to:
- Enjoy working on systems and building good software – Be customer-centric – Good team player – Strong systems, web services and implementation experience – Excellent written communication and strong verbal skills – Ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
Min Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in CS or MIS – A minimum of 5 years software development experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role – Exceptional technical skills – A sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science – Practical experience in building large-scale distributed systems – Solid experience in building, managing, and mentoring engineering teams – Must have have worked with service oriented architectures – Must be a strong leader with excellent project-management & analytical skills and strong technical abilities – A deep understanding of software development, services development & quality software engineering – Experienced in managing and developing software engineers – Experienced in designing, scoping and delivering complex solutions – A passionate leader comfortable in a position of broad influence and high accountability – Proficient with Linux, in particular on the networking side – Experienced with Ruby, Perl, Java and/or C#/C++
