A Test Analyst with solid experience in Automated testing and Functional and Integration testing to join an established project.
Technical knowledge for Test Analyst • Define requirement and tailor criteria for testing process • Interview stakeholders to determine individual requirements • Design new hybrid process for testing and document Testing Process Guidelines. • Document, define and identify Roles and Responsibilities Matrix • Identify requirements and conduct training and develop course materials. • Develop Testing Continuous Improvement Plan • Create core functionality automated test scripts • Conduct regression testing, stress testing and also use automated test scripts. • Develop Test Cases • Develop Test Plan and Strategies • Execute Testing • Manage Defects and Defect logging • Development, documentation and maintenance of test cases from formal business and system requirements specifications • Participation in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process from requirements specification onwards and participation in JAD sessions
Qualifications • BSC Computer Science Degree / BCom Information Technology / IT Diploma • Advanced practical testing training. [Note: I would state this as an advantage not a (requirement] • ISTQB Certification (ISEB Foundation in Software Testing) would be an advantage
Essential attributes and technologies • Proven working experience using Automated testing tools • Solid experience in Functional and Integration testing • 2 – 5 years extensive experience in all of the following is essential: o Excellent Compilation of Test Cases and Plan Designs, Execution Testing, Defect Reporting and Formal test design techniques. o Ensure the execution of test cases and document the process to provide regular progress feedback reports. o Development background, automation, test specialization is an advantage. o Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills. o Excellent relationship management, negotiation and influential skills. o Performance, Target and Results orientated. o Adaptable to changing circumstances o Excellent analytical, logical and problem solving skills, with good attention to detail
