dunno about you guys but I am super excited about the new OS released yesterday (officially).

My iTunes have not picked up the update yet though... I was just wondering if it is just me, or whether I need to be more patient...

Thanks

IIRC it will be available June 21st.

Pre-order iPhone 4 in US on 15 June, US release of phone and software (international) 21 June, international release of phone between July and end of September to 88 countries.

Wanna bet that Vodacom will only have it end of September + a month for "testing".

I wonder if MTN will ever pull finger and get the iPhone?

Thanks guys.

Where did you guys get the info? On the Apple site?

What??? no way!!1 why do we get it so late?

Yup, only a 2 week wait - not a biggie, same as everyone else round the world.

If you have a Mac, the new Safari 5.0 browser was released this morning as a software update

It's already been released to Gold Master which is the final version, and you don't need beta keys or anything, so if you can get hold of the ipsw ... yeah!

@SlinkyMike, the 3G won't support multitasking. This is because it only has 128mb RAM.

the 3G iPhone won't run multitasking out the bag (there are ways to do it tho, you just have to look in the right places). There are a few other features that won't work on the iPhone 3G aswell, but the iPhone 3GS will run everything except for the "talktime" for OBVIOUS reasons.

My jailbroken iPhone 3G is already running everything that's supposed to come with iOS 4.....so what's the hurry? :p

@SlinkyMike - if you jailbreak your iPhone 3G, you can download "Backgrounder" (think that's what it's called) from Cydia and then you have multitasking on your phone. Voila.

There's just too much stuff on Cydia..... I'm too scared to tap on my Cydia icon = for the next two hours I'm hooked. One of my work colleagues downloaded Guitar Hero 2 + Need for Speed today and it looks great on the iPhone 3G.

if u jailbreak ur 3G u can edit a file in the file system and u THEN can multi task... but i can do everything with my current 3.1.3 jailbroken iphone 3Gs and even more... i dont see wats the big thing about iOS 4.0

i use categoriesSB and Proswitcher with backgrounder and iFile to browse my file system. and i can wfi to any pc sending and receiving files. i am still thinking if i should update or not....
