Yes it's me again, looking for something else this time.

And I decided to use my 100th post to ask ( hope this brings me luck ). :D

Anybody? There's an online store (Sybaritic) I could use but I want to check all my ( maybe cheaper ) options first.

Thanx

:)

ComputersOnly R825 - not the one you're looking for though
Antec trueblue 480w ATX, antec Low noise technology, 2x double ball bearing blue illuminated fans, individual dedicated circuits & voltage feedback, gold plated connectors - 3 year warranty

Take2 R1193 (ex VAT I think)

Have the Thermaltake 480W PSU. Runs the bomb :D . Only gripe is I bought the pre-sleaved version :o

Nope, me wants cable management. Got to have cable management. Cable management coooool. :)

Honestly I haven't come to a complete decision yet, so how about I get some alternatives from you guys. 450 Watt or higher. And I'd really like something with cable management. Oh, and I'd rather have one with a 120mm fan on instead of two 80mm.

Ready? Off you go........

Rather get a Antec True Power 2. There is a 500W Modular Version. It should work very well 24Pin is what you want for the future. Stay away from the Thermaltakes, they dont take load very well at all.

antec SP2-500 - 500w , 24pin ( 4pin detachable ) , 2 x 6pin PCI-E power , dual 12V rail , 2x 80mm flow through fans ( 1 by auto thermal control ) ; with OCP , OVP , OPP , OTP , SCP , UVP ; with Modular Cable Management ( use only cable you need ) - 3 years warranty

R870 ex shipping, or you can fetch from my guy in Preotria/Joburg.

PM me and ill give you his number.

JasonH, your mailbox is too full I can't PM you. The power supply your talking about, isn't it the SmartPower2? It sound like a good buy. How loud is it tho? Do you know anyone who has one?

Substantiate this, I have a thermaltake running a pretty power hungary system and I have not had any issues.

Red Orange are in Johannesburg.

I got an Antec 500W PSU from them. The version 2 has dual support for the graphics cards if you are running a SLI set up but it doesn't have cable management - i.e. you get all the bits and bobs hanging out. The version I got is the big daddy with dual fans. I was running a Polo 12 (410W) before that but it couldn't cope - and I really don't have much running : ASUS A8N-SLI, nVidia 6800GT, 2GB RAM, and a AMD 3800 CPU. Of course the mobo has it of its bells and whistles too. I do draw slightly on the USB ports with a 518 mouse, MS wireless Key board. I had not got around to plugging in the joystick or the momo sterring wheel yet. I do not believe that it should be a problem to drive anything at the moment.

Funnily enough I built another rig based on the same mobo but with a 3200 CPU, a 6600GT GPU, and 1 GB RAM. It works just fine. I have a Polo 12 in here.

I am not completely sure if I trust the Maxtor SATA drive with the 16MB cache. I think there may have been a nForce SATA driver problem. I have upgraded that little lot too.
