Prices are affective to all our customers immediately!
All present customers that are on Debit Order will be debited the new price for August.
Here are the new rates for Axxess (A bit early but what can you do?) :D

New Shaped ADSL Pricing
3Gb R199.00 (Incl.Vat)
5Gb R224.00 (Incl.Vat)
10Gb R249.00 (Incl.Vat)
20Gb R299.00 (Incl.Vat)
30Gb R349.00 (Incl.Vat)

Lovely, although I am almost at the point of demanding to know why this is all happening now.
What has changed between the isp's and Telkom that makes this possible, or have they (the isp's) also been robbing us blind all along.

It's not the ISP's who've been robbing us, it's Telkom. Remember, there was a very slight markup for ISPs who sell ADSL accounts.

So what has changed to allow ISP's to offer cheaper accounts? I still put it down to pressure from the public. Telkom had to do something.

Bandwidth costs on the SAT3 cable are being reduced from the 1st of August, making it possible for ISP's to sell bandwidth for cheaper.
 
this is excellant news ... I am definitely not going to be moving now :) ... might b upgrading though :)

I just mailed them asking about that actually :) What I pay them now for the 30GB Unshapped is more expensive than 2 x 30GB at Adept / Axxess...

Yep just started a thread on the WA forums and asked what they plan on doing.
Even if the price stays where it is(which I doubt very much) I will stay with WA
 
Excellent stuff Axxess!! I was really hoping for this.
 
This is great news for 2 reasons. If axxess goes with a lower price I am pretty sure that WA and AYCE will follow either at the end of the month or sooner. The competition is very good. Wonder what telkom has instore on the 1st?
 
Do the maths but AFAIK from next month 60gb will cost only r19 more than 30gb this month :)

On a 512 Home line:
This month = 599 (telkom) + 579 (30gb) = R1178
Next month = 499 (telkom) + 698 (30gb x2) = R1197

Next month = 477 (telkom) +698 (30gb x 2) = r1175

3 rand cheaper for 60gb! But its only a start - need to get rid of the r477 next!!

Oh man !

I was on the 10gig package, now I can hop onto 30gig for the same price - hey, even cheaper ! - sorted !
