Description:
Our client a JHB North based solutions provider seeks to employ an experienced architect with a solid understanding of Application and Integration Architecture and Service Oriented Architecture.
o SOA product implementation or configuration and systems integration conceptual (high level) design specifications
o SOA product implementation or configuration and systems integration logical and physical (detailed) design specifications
o Support pre-sales activities through technical consultation, demo and prototype development and solution architecture and design for SOA related products and solutions, such as Websphere ESB, Websphere Registry and Repository, or Datapower
o Defining solution implementation or integration approaches at project life cycle level
o Product implementation, Application and Integration Architecture specifications
o Manage and oversee development / integration activities as overall owner of the architecture within which these fall including dependency identification and monitoring
o Work closely with SOA initiatives and coordinate activities between teams from an architectural perspective
o Perform technical assessments and mentor and coach SOA developers, analysts and designers and other more junior technical project team members
o Working closely with business users, solution and platform vendors, change management, process, testing and training teams as part of projects
Requirements
o Formal IT/IS qualification or engineering degree preferable
o Must have at least 6 years Systems Analysis, Design and Development / Integration experience in a consulting environment as a client facing systems or integration analyst designer or analyst programmer working on large multi-disciplinary projects on client sites
o At least 2 years of technical architecture experience in consulting to client on SOA, Integration, and/or Application architecture
o 2+ years of software development experience related to java technologies such as J2EE and Websphere
o Multi-Tier Architecture skills / understanding (including SOA)
o Solid understanding of object orientated analysis, design and development
o In depth knowledge of implementation of ESB’s such as Datapower or Websphere ESB essential.
o Knowledge and exposure to SOA, including software service development and governance technologies
