Guys,

Where is a good place in Midrand area to buy things like N-Type Male and Female / LMR400 / RP-TNC Connectors?

I have tried Component Sources in Kyalami Business Park but they are clueless.

They recommended a place called HiConnex but have not been there yet...

Any ideas?

KB,

Thanks man. You have made my day with the RS link.

does anyone know where to find cable and connectors in cape town? i know of miro and uniterm. yebo is in CT as well but don't stock the lmr cables only stock the rg58 rg213 rg8 cables

RS is horribly expensive sometimes. The Hiconnex guys are really helpful and they made up a pigtail for me - including a "non standard" SMA connector on the spot. The RF connectors used are generally very expensive - gold plated and such - but works like a charm.

Not really the Chinese juggernaut are making these connectors for virtually
nothing at www.starnetwifi.com situated in Hong Kong.
Airmail is only $20

I eventually (about 2 weeks ago) managed to get everything I needed from Miro. Close to work. Good prices. Very smooth. Walked in and out in about 5 minutes with 3 x RP-TNC to N-Type, 1 x N-Type Chassis mount and a MMCX - N-Type 100cm pigtail. ;)

better late than never

Maybe be a bit late but a good place to buy is Mantech. They are in JHB and CT. N type typically R17.00 each but R13.50 in qty of 50. RP-TNC SNA MMCX all less than R10 each. You can dump down their retail price list from the web ~~ about 10M

regards

Bit late indeed! But thanks anyway man - I am sure your suggestion will help others! :)
