lol it took 3 years to get to 1mbps, at that rate it would take 300 years to get to 100mbps

re HK speeds, yip, been eyeing that, ahead of an HK shopping frenzy - current download speeds on the 1Gbps service in HK = (wait for it) 125 megs a second download speed off the net..

Anything is better than SA connection anyway.
Also they have all they need locally, when we have nothing here.
For example, I found episode of DBZ in DIRECT dowload on a UK website(170meg/episode, more than 50 episodes).
And this is europe.
Just imagine the kind of website they possess in HK, they really don't need an intenationnal connection to be happy.
try to find this on a co.za website...

There are some things in South Africa which don't and never will make any sense, no matter how much you have had to drink, or how good your maths is.
A 100Mbit internet connection from Telkom is one such example.

i know this sounds a bit strange but wat do u need faster speeds than say 8mbit unless you are going to use ure internet for illegal purposes? So that u can browse faster? i don't think so! i wouldn't mind a gigabit connection but if all these big corporations are going on abt piracy and illegal downloads why are they giving us such fast speeds to do this?

wd raptor only writes at 36mb/s... thats if you downloading of course
