HTC Magic Sense UI upgrade - no wifi

I did the Leaf Sense UI upgrade on my wife's Magic. It connects to the wifi, but apps including gmail, and market, will only use 3G. If only wifi is on then they say no connection.

Anyone know how to fix this?

There have been huge issues this week on various Android forums about wifi not working after an OTA update. There are many technical threads about it and people have been able to overcome the problem. I don't have a link but search with these terms: desire android wifi "unlock code"
Yours might be a different problem, but wade through it and you might find a solution. The simplest solution I saw was to return the phone as faulty and demand a new one :)
I didn't install the update on my phone.

Yeah, I spent some time Googling it. There was one thread about the Hero having this issue, but they didn't have a solution. I was hoping that perhaps some South Africans has had the same issue after upgrading, but I guess no. Perhaps I'll flash it again and see if it works...
