Since I've had no joy with any further ETA's for the above phone from the MTN guys, I thought I'd try my hand with Vodacom...

Having scoped out the 6680, its clearly too bulky for my liking, so I'm back to looking out for the K750i.

So Vodacom3G, any news on this phone from a Vodacom perspective?
I see Cellucity are already "mentioning" it as coming soon...my question is how soon :)

I'm probably gonna go with whichever network launches the phone first :)

lewstherin, I too was waiting for this phone. The official word I got from the guys at Sony Erricson was " the fourth quarter of this year" Which we are fast approaching.
I couldn't wait, and went for the S700i instead, and haven't looked back. :)

Nope, you would have noticed Vodacom never stay mum. Irrespective of the answer, you have the right to know.

I'm still waiting for an answer from the handset guys. Will let you know ASAP.

Can someone confirm that the K750i allows one to silence the ringtone without disconnecting the call (the phone keeps ringing, but the ringtone stops), like you can with all recent Nokia phones?

This is like my #1 requirement for a phone :D

I'm 99% sure it can do it. Both the T610 and the T68i can do it, so they'd be mad to have dropped that feature.

Just got a K750i for my son ... initial impression was how flimsy & flaky the construction is (case, keys, joystick). My SE V800 by comparison seems solid & of a far better build quality.

Ye Roman4604, when I held one at the Vodashop, it seemed very light and the joystick seemed very plasticy. I figured all phones kinda feel that way without the battery in.

Slip/Roman4604 - can you confirm my question about turning the ringer off without disconnecting the call?

I must be missing something...?

the K750 is not solid?

mine is plenty solid & has a quality feel to it like the T610

I agree with lewstherin!

I suppose its a subjective thing ... I got T39, T610 & V800 and I would say the K750 seems (to me) to have the flimsiest construction.

At the end of the day if you're happy with it, thats all that counts.
