Time and again people talk of this is Africa's year and are met with disappointment! I hear statements like Africa plays the most beautiful soccer yet they keep losing and more furstrating is most of the top players spend their careers in Europe! I was surprised to see most of the French side was Black and they too couldn't make an impression, what is going on?
Some say soccer is not only a game of skill its emphasised as a game of strategy and that is where the African teams lose it, they don't play with strategy. They rely on skill and its clearly not enough to win games. Brazil
is clearly blessed with both and Africa tries hard to emulate the South Americans and they just can't make the grade! They blame the coaches yet the very same coaches leave and succeed elsewhere.
I think African are too consumed in themselves and use the platform as a marketing tool to impress European club manager's and forget about their countries. :wtf:
