Broadband price freeze imminent

Telkom shares seem to taking this news rather well.
 
Slap on the wrist???

I thought it was more like a kick in the goonies. Telkom must feel the pain behind their eyeballs.
 
This just proves that Telkom has seen the ICASA document before we did and is trying to soften the blow its going to get.
 
when is the action?
however it's a nice outcome of rpm & other forumites' hard effort.

lol, amen, boss is starting to get worried, told him I config'ed Delphi to match MyADSL colors *eg* Now he can't tell the diff
 
I am dying to see Telkoms, and the Ministers response to the ICASA report.

Wonder whats going on in the Telkom boardroom today, if anything.
 
telkom managment work... on a friday? they all out playin golf ;)

this is easially one of the highlights of the year!!

My best part is... telkom has prolly invested a small fortune into its NEW billing software... and now they are not gonna be able to use it to skrew us like they planned. The sad part... is that fortune is actually our cash, they'v been takin from us over the yearz

Uhm...actually they're all out having a braai. Friday is traditionally braai and go home early day @ Telkom
 
I can't wait for the response .. this is so kewl .. and a very long time coming ...
and thanx to all the guys that represented us at the hearings .. much appreciated .. at least it wasn't in vein :)

Doesn't the DoC have to OK any new regulations from ICASA? If that's the case, I'm not getting my hopes up, because historically Ivy and co. have always gone out of their way to vigorously defend Telkom.
 
Like a few others around here, I also just joined up to voice my support. Congrats to all who've been so instrumental in this momentous occasion!

I don't have DSL yet, but was considering getting set up at the end of August. Perhaps an extra month might not hurt though - it'll be interesting to see how the monthly extor- er, subscriptions are affected.

(And I'd love to have been a fly on the wall of the Telkom corporate office this morning!)
