This is indeed good news - especially the up-and-running date (2007) - providing that access to this resource is not monpolised.
 
Just keep Telkom's grubby little paws off this project... ;) :D

I wouldn't mind if my money will have to go to some other African country for connectivity, as long as it's cheaper and faster than Telkom's Internet... but hey, that's competition for you, and if Telkom doesn't like it, then toughies.
 
Why don't all the forumites club in to buy a major share then sell bandwidth to Telkom :D
