Description:
The programme manager monitors adherence to standards, achievement of project benefits and by driving the skills profiles.
The programme manager with be degreed with at least 10 years experience managing IS projects and 5 years managing a project office environment
He / She integrates the progress and risks from all projects, and delivers holistic reporting to decision forums and aligns to group standards.
The programme manager owns the project methodology and standards and ensures the quality of project management activities.
The programme manager will manage the project registration process and ensures that the PMO can provide Resources
Benefits realization analysis report process ownership
Present findings to business
Risk Management Reporting
Participate in the review of project risks, and integrate risks to the Group Risk management process.
Participate in / Coordinate the project registration process and evolve this to ensure effective mechanisms are established in line with organizational needs.
Ensure each initiative is registered and awareness raised of existence
Provide integrated project and program reporting to decision making forums.
Provide feedback to stakeholders
Detailed project progress reports for key projects
Executive reporting view including stats and key project details per forum, programme and executive.
Ensure PMO staff are appropriately equipped
Capacity Management of Project Office Team
Ensures that human capacity exists in the team being managed.
Qualifications & Experience:
IT Degree
Honors or Masters an advantage
Project Management or Business degree
PMI accreditation
At least 10 years experience managing IS projects
5 years managing a project office environment
Exposure to PMBOK and PRINCE2 or similar
Business Writing
Group facilitation
Organizing and planning
Knowledge of Technologies and processes: Project Management; SDLC, MS Project
