All basestations went down about 15 minutes ago ... CPT and DBN seems to be up again, JHB and PTA still down

Even worst, I've tried to open their website and that also didn't seem to work...

I tried to open it from a Sentech Connection, took a long time, but it loaded.

Crash, I see you from Roodepoort...? Same here... whereabout in Roodepoort are you located?

Don't worry everyone in JHB has problems MY UT-D has 5 lights display then in 1minute all gone then in 5 seconds back.

They are doing some maintaince or something iBURST...
They should tell us what this is for

Firstly, they will NEVER tell us what's going on.

I quote the helpdesk guy: "All basestations are down, something must have hit us" :D

Who we are? That would be giving too much info on a public forum, don't you think? :D

Receiving hits ON iBurst FROM iBurst is quite normal ... nothing out of the ordinary.

iBalls, can really suck some time.
I'm already going to cancel this product and move to ADSL. Just shows me that wireless Broadband wont ever be stable in South Africa, when iBalls play around during the day. They should do this during the graveyard shift.

Rich, don't you think you should read the rest of the posts, instead of jumping to conclusions that they are doing maintenance in the middle of the day, on ALL of the Basestations. Something went wrong, thats it ... no maintenance.

Last time they did maintaince on Sunday. During the day.
That we were informed, I'm telling you they going to blame it on power failure or something.

I just want to know what they doing to the network, you can't tell me that all the base station go down for small thing.
maybe its UUNET side!!

I just want answers that's it but nobody at WBS can tell me what went wrong

I know how you feel Rush, yesterday I phoned them up coz I had a couple of queries but apparently they don’t offer technical assistance on a Sunday… My guess is there’s probably no network or system administrators on site either ….

Ryno : We pay a lot of money for iBURST ABOUT R20 a day for 3 gig package, and really if they are down for about 2 hours during working hours. It's bad for my Example : Company, Myself and other users.
1 hour to go down during peak hours is really B.S.. They should be playing there games at 00:00 h - 04:00 h. If they really want to do some maintaince/fixing up on there network....

WBS are the one who are going to suffer, with loads of people to cancel.
10 ppl cancel iBURST - WBS will loose easy of Profit R3000 about.
