Daaaaam you telkom!!!!

BT has announced that it is cutting the prices of symmetric broadband services in order to 'stimulate the market'.

From November, the company's Wholesale division will cut the charges to ISPs for both activating an SDSL connection and the annual rental charge by 30 per cent, with the aim of making symmetric services more attractive, particularly to the small- and medium-sized businesses market.

I had my girlfriend price an internet connection in China for me (she's Chinese, just in case you were wondering :p )

To install, is roughly R250, and the monthly charge on a 10 MEGABIT connection, uncapped, is around R100 a month (120 Yuan for anyone who wants an accurate figure).

ROT IN HELL, TELKOM.

I'm with you man! (er.. that is, I'm assuming you're a man.. if not, please accept my most humble appologies :p )

From what I've seen, round 2 is in preparation!
 
Point being that if Telkom comes with their crap, these figures should be shown. Ok we are maybe not as developed as them, but still our Telco is making Billions in profits and only has about 5 million phone lines. The percentage profit on turnover must be massive for Telkom
