PS3 wont play blu ray movies

My PS3 doesnt play Blu ray movies. I get the error code 800299AE (This video cannot be played).
Its so frustrating. I've searched on google but cant really find any info.
Anyone here have that problem? The PS3 games works fine and PS3 discs
are blu ray so I dont think that the actual drive is faulty. Might just be a software problem.
 
I'm not finding anything useful. Just other people experiencing similiar problems but with no
definitive solutions.
 
have you checked the region of your movie?
if its not that then send it in for repair, or are you out of warranty?

i watched book of eli in br on ps3 yesterday - weird movie, but the detail in blu ray, mind blowing
 
I was under the impression that the PS3 Blu ray player is region free?
I bought the disc from Musica.
Yup, still under warranty. Might be the best solution.

nope, region free only for games
musica movie disk should be ok, could also be a problem disc and not the ps3
