Neotel launches 8 Mbps uncapped NeoBroadband WiMax

Not bad pricing considering it is a business solution. Will look at the 4 Mbps service compared to ADSL offerings soon.
 
Whether it is a good deal or not, a lot of damage has already been done to their name.

Will people give neotel another chance? that is the real question.

They won't be any fair usage policy being that it is a business service.

Dare I say uncapped home accounts could come soon?
 
I'm quite keen but also need some more info. Shaped / Unshaped, Static IP's, p2p, usenet, redundancy, installation price, ......

I just noticed 3 Public IP's so guess that's answered.

I currently pay R1100 for Telkom 512k WiMax with 512k Uncapped Unshaped MWeb so would be really interested in the 1mb @ R1299

The increased uplink speed is also really nice for my clients that have mail servers on premises as 512k is just not cutting it.

i'v just installed Telkom's WCDMA and the speed is excellent only the cap that is crap. I dont trust Neofail at all. Good pricing by the way. Do these prices include a line rental bcos my Telkom WCDMA does? *curious*
 
Neotel have already p!ssed off the customers who were willing to give them a chance in the first place....so it will be a hard road ahead for them to repair their "image".
 
i showed this to my Korean friend (visiting) and he almost shat in his pants.

+1. Neotel has failed over and over again. I wouldn't trust them with my business connection.

I'll give Neotel another chance in another 2 years time, if/when they have proven themselves.

Neotel promises a 5 day turnaround time for installation while moving your connection with your office is also not time consuming.

More wireless crap! When are you going to start offering fixed line services? Or what are you currently doing to be able to offer fixed line services? After all, you were licensed as the second national operator!

Line rental? its wirelss, where would the line come in?
Unless you are referring to a voice sevice aswell in which case I dont think it does, its an internet connection.
Its very possible that this could work very well, they have good network equipment and enough int bandwidth. Just not sure about the caliber of their staff.
 
I won't be going near Neotel again. Doesn't matter what the offer is.
