I got given one of these and want to install it onto my wifes computer. She has Windows Vista  .

The card says "Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/GPRS data card" on it.

On the back its an "Option" Card with the Model "GT 3G Quad"

I need both the drivers and the software to manage it. Possibly the firmware as well.

Now freeken Vodacom have redesigned their website so none of the links mentioned on this site pointing back to Vodacom work anymore.

The link I used to goto is: http://www.vodacom.co.za/services/mobile_data/downloads.jsp

Does anyone have any idea where to go now?

Windows Vista / 7 drivers that work on those old PCMCIA cards are scarce - I binned one the other day because I couldn't get Windows 7 drivers.

I had absolutely no problem getting one of these cards (in my case a Novatel U740) up and running with Windows 7. In fact once the drivers are installed you can uninstall the Voda software and launch directly from the generic Windows network connection box.

An alternative is to use ggings' excellent little local app, MDMA.
