Florida and Florida Hills area JHB - ADSL down

Are there any people on this forum in this area experiencing ADSL connectivity issues to the Florida exchange. My modem has not been able to sync for the last 4 days...

Have logged a fault but the help line is unable to give any further info regarding the fault. I am gathering it must be something at the exchange that packed up.
 
Does that phone line work on a POTS level (dial tone on a phone connected to that line)? You've really jumped the gun in postulating that your entire area is down just because of your own lack of service... unless you have neighbours or friends in the region who are also experiencing the problem? Anyways, chances are you're going to have to wait until a short while after the world cup ends before Telkom gives your fault any attention, but keep pestering them about it :)
 
Yeah dial tone is up....but that doesn't always say the adsl is working....the reason I say it could be area wide i that on my third call to the help line they said that they are experiencing connection problems at the Florida 2 exchange dslams. This area has a notorious problem with the quality of ADSL lines in any case.
