This is starting to get to me and it seems Telkom really don't care that much. Anyone ever been able to get a refund from Telkom for down time. Surely 2 days = Line Rental + ADSL Rental / 30 x 2.

Yes on the refund! 2yrs back my line went down for 3 weeks, I reported at my local branch the following day but no action (the guilty staff member is no longer there), then I reported it online and even though it took them 10days to resolve, they refunded me for those 10 days (from the date I reported online).
So, lesson learn't: report it online at Telkom ASAP.

Oh, and I never even asked for a refund. They just put it on that months account

I have ref number however it is alarming that no one is interested in fixing this problem that is not just my home. Seems Neotel has been working down the street and I suspect at 13:00 yesterday someone hooked some cables and pulled them out the ground. Some others are having the same problem in my area.

Seems they only have the scheduled to be fixed by the 10th of October.
Surely Icasa must know about this?
