Anyone want to see the difference between shaped and unshaped ?

First 3 users to email me at [email protected] can play WoW on an unshaped account for the night.

Great idea Pedantic. I've never played WOW, so I'll leave the pleasure of an unshaped account to those who do.

I have to wait about 5 min, for my application to kick in.... ( My latency drop from 5435ms to 433ms ) so I am very happy...

I was on unshaped SAOL untill this month, and all I can say it was great for WoW 100% of the time. You could play any time of the day with a 480-680ms ping at most 800ms but those were just time I recieved lag spikes.

Only reason I didnt keep up with it, is 2 adsl accounts became a lil expensive for me and got a friends vpn now. However if you are not this lucky, this is a must for WoW if you have the money. ps. I was on the 3gb for R399/m unshaped option.

Not only that, SAOL has great customer support and service. I didnt experience 1 problem or whatever. I emailed them and asked them to put the 3gb unshaped option on the online signup, and they did that even the same day!

What can you guys offer me? And what do I need from Telkom? What will my total monthly bill be for access to the internet.
I have no adsl hardware. I'd prefer to rent or lease to minimize 1 off capital expenditures. ADSL is available at my exchange.

I have 3x pc's on lan, 1x isdn modem, 1x 100Mbit 8port router.

You've got mail, if there are still trial accounts available. I'm convinced that the port-shaping is responsible, but would gladly confirm it for everyone here. I play WoW on the US servers. Unshaped, I'm expecting latency of 500 (max).

Just started using an Axxess Unshaped account.

WHAT BLISS!!!


Gaming just rules!!

Mostly play Everquest 2 and LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth.

HUGE difference.

Pings around 230 to 350.

I tested the unshaped account and World of Warcraft ran without a hitch. I'm getting a CONSISTENT 600 latency, which is AWESOME compared to what I have to suffer through on a shaped account.
