A Durbanvillle resident has lodged a complaint against a group of police officers he said had tried to force him off the road and had hit him in the face, breaking his glasses.

Stewart Robinson said an officer had remarked: "Because you're white, you think you're special."

Robinson is the husband of Denise Robinson, a DA MP and shadow minister of women, youth, children and people with disabilities.

He said he had been driving into Durbanville at the speed limit of 60km/h, along Race Course Road, on Monday.

"I stopped at the petrol station and he (Robinson) stopped behind me. Behind him stopped this police van. I saw them take the keys from the car and start hitting the man." An officer said: "You think you're special because you are white.

We're going to kill all you f***ing whites."

Smit said he told Mostert to phone the police and the officers jumped into their van and drove away.

Democratic Alliance shadow police minister Dianne Kohler-Barnard on Monday said she was "beyond furious".

"The police wait until the end of the World Cup and then revert to type."

What makes you think the world cup was a sort of lobotomy for all the racist pigs in this country?

Werent the DBN cops accused of saying the very same thing a few months back as well?
 
Just keep it calm, objective and racist free! If that is at all possible.

The scary part is that this is said and done by the same police that is appointed to keep us all safe. So much for Ubuntu and really just show what a farce this whole safe country SWC shirade is that we upheld for a month.
Already some stated it is a negligible isolated incident.

I wouldn't say isolated, but what happens is the same mentality traffic cops have with full-of-self motorists. Just because you drive a better car or have a better education you act all important and what not. These cops probably are the same sort who have the pre-conceived notion that white people see themselves as better (due to the past or whatever).

Yes it is true that being a police man should be a respectable position. However the many police men i've even met, really not so. Police in this country, probably the majority of them are simply savage thugs themselves. Hold my thumbs for those few good men out there, however the rest...

So he did absolutely nothing wrong, broke no traffic rules and they just stopped behind him at a filling station and started assaulting him?

If that is the case, bad!

Of course, even if he committed an offense, he ought not to be assaulted and terrorised like that.

The fact that they left in a hurry without taking the perpetrator in custody said it all! The next will be total denial from the police that they existed or that their members was in the area. A little faith will be restored if these police thugs get arrested and booked like in the other case.

Get a lawyer? Hasnt been too effective against cops in the past.

The only thing thugs respect is other thugs. We need to form our own MyBB "gang" (or pay another to protect us) to use against the police. Like 50 000 strong, anytime a policeman is brutal to anyone, regardless of colour, he gets the sh*t beaten out of him. They'll soon stop behaving like this.

Law? They dont respect it.
