I need to buy gigs soon.

With all the different prices of gigs going on I don't know where to go to buy some extra gigs.
I am with telkom and need to buy about 2 gigs unless it is cheap enough to buy 3gigs. I would most likely have to buy it online but don't know where to start.

I do not know what shaped or unshaped mean and I don't need local and it will be used for gmail and work on the internet.

Can you guys guide me please to the best site for this?

Do NOT buy extra "gigs" from elkom as they are bloody expensive!

Why not get another cheapie account (1,2,3Gb) from an ISP such as Afrihost, axxess, Mweb, etc.?

moggie, i don't know how they work and cannot sign up with someone else as i am not working so money is tight. can i get a prepaid voucher like axxess from someone? I used to buy those vouchers in the past for R70 and they worked fine.

Telkom's topups are expensive cause they know their average users don't know/are scared to change ISP's on their modems.

at least i know how to put an axxess prepaid voucher numbers in my modem i just hope the others are to same.
 
wayne, will you be using all the gigs by the end of the month? because most of those mentioned don't roll over. ie, what you don't use, you lose

basically we need maybe 2 gigs until the end of the month just to keep gmail running for our business and research on products. Ideally a prepaid voucher like axxess would work because of the roll over but if we have some extra megs at month end then i will use it up by downloading something or whatever.

cool, then the R16 to R19 ones are fine

i'm pretty broke too, save xmas wrappers :)
 
ha ha ha yeah but those gigs are only topups and you need to be a subscriber with axxess or any other company or something?
 
I buy the Access Lite product directly off their website, and create my login and password at the same time, that's the one that's R19 / GB.
I have a problem with the Axxess prepaid vouchers, in that I don't know how to choose which product I want to allocate to the voucher, so I just avoid them.
