One thing that's always irked me about Current Affairs is when people create threads, in which they post nothing but the body of a news article (sometimes without even a link to the source).
While I appreciate the fact that you've brought that news to the collective forum's attention, I'd also like to know what you - the creator of the thread - think about the topic at hand. If you've gone to the trouble of creating a new thread for a news piece, it implies that you feel said news is worthy of attention, and hence you have formed some sort of opinion regarding that topic - correct?
So I call on all participants in CA to please let us know what you believe when you post a new thread. If you don't want to, simply put something like "Discuss" under the quote from the news piece, and let it go from there.
AND ALWAYS LINK YOUR SOURCES!
(Mods/admins, I apologise if this is the wrong place to post this, if so please move it.)
