Staff exodus hits DoC

An exodus of senior managers from the communications department has followed Mamodupi Mohlala's appointment as director general 10 months ago.
 
Me too. Something must be done to sort out corruption and theft from tax payers. It seems like it is a prerequisite to land the job :(
 
I'd also leave a department that served no valid function.

The DoC are a pointless bunch of people.
 
It would seem that "employment", "salaries", "expenses" and "human resources related disputes" are the principal focus of the DoC these days. How about expending some effort on your actual jobs, you know, the one's we pay you to do.
 
How long is it going to take for South Africans to realise that GOVERNMENT BY NATURE IS AN INEFFICIENT/INCOMPETENT ENTITY. How many concrete examples do people need? Anything it touches turns to sh-t. e.g. Post Office, Eskom, Telkom, DoC etc etc. This is a fact of life.

PRIVATISE EVERYTHING. Except for the police/army/courts. Only governments (with a strict constitution) are able to maintain objective law.

Sounds similar to the exodus of Board members from Telkom following Jeff Molobela's appointment in November 2009!!!

Only appoint people who are Actually QUALIFIED, with a minimum EDUCATION.

some other department will simply embellish the funds.

Even in countries where that's been done, it never works. And it shouldn't work. The profit-motive (99.9% of the time) trumps the so-called 'selfless' government department employee.
 
The legacy of Poison Ivy lives on - Mamodupi Mohlala was one of Ivy's favourite plants, and IIRC the same person that was identified as having deliberately botched the ADSL Regulations to favour Telkodemonopolies.

No surprise that the general's nepotism and corruption continues unabated.
