SMSing with Voda 3g card

BlaZor, you're both right and wrong... 
The card does support SMS but technically not over 3G, although you won't notice it. In other words, you can send and receive SMS's using the dashboard, even when connected to 3G. Just go the SMS tab in the dashboard and send away.
It's actually quite nice since you can now SMS using a 'proper' keyboard. I find I use it a lot, as I don't need to fiddle with a phone or interrupt my work at my PC.
Not to sure about multiple SMS's but there should be a way to do it.
Sure I'm preaching to the converted, but remember SMS's are bound by the same SPAM regulations as e-mail.

Depending on your volume requirements there are a few options.
If you want to use SMS as a business tool, the best (and cheapest) bet is to become a Vodacom WASP (Wireless Application Service Provider). You then connect directly to the Vodacom SMSC via a WAN link or the Internet and submit messages this way.
If you requirement is more ad-hoc, get one of the many PC programs and get a GSM modem with something like a Messenger contract. I believe you pay normal SMS rates on your data contract.
Most contact management systems can also SMS directly from their CRM databases.
If you've got a more telemetry-type application, also go for the GSM modem/Messenger option.

Footnote: Once again, look at the SPAMCAN regulations in terms of SMS'ing. Any bulk, unsolicited messaging is considered SPAM and we're beginning to see legal action against SMS spammers.

and when you SMS this way, you pay the standard cost for EGSM based SMSing! The datausage doesnt come off your data bundle, so expect to see it as an additional line item on your bill at the end of the month!
Not sure why the networks here don't allow SMS over GPRS/3G, like they do in the UK. Much cheaper this way, but that equals less revenue for the networks. Considering, of course, that SMSing is the most expensive form of data transfer in the country! Its even more than INMARSAT!!!
