Samsung have announced the availability of an update from Android Cupcake to Eclair for the Galaxy Spica.

Can't we just skip the Eclair upgrade and go straight to Froyo? I don't mind waiting a bit longer if it'll speed up the process. For my Xperia X10 Mini please, SE.

They have actually, but it was some time ago. They released a firmware update for some of their devices along with the Android Market update.

I would like to know when this will come out to the public... and on which channel they will publish it on...

It must be hectically difficult to manage a company that has so many arms, and so many localized divisions like Samsung does.
