just a note to anybody not familiar with UO. you can play it on dial up. in fact, 3 people can comfortably play it on one phone line (56k).

i was watching a friend play it last night, i try stay away from it, it stole 2 years of my life

I sometimes play, used to love it before they stuffed everything up.

i can vouch for TFR. real nice experience. sometimes a little empty (during office hours) but maybe we can change that!

I have recently started playing on TFR again after a long leave and unfortunately have not tried out Chyrellos yet. My excuse is the time it takes to get to a decent level to play, while I still have ok'ish chars on TFR.

Anyhow. Have a look at the forums and google some screenshots. It doesnt look horrible

Ultima Online Tenebrae is a "freeshard" where anyone can play for free.

Tenebrae is a fun, family oriented Ultima Online free to play shard for young and old, with challenges for both new players and experienced vets.
You will find our staff mature, responsible, friendly and helpful. We have great players who all strive to help new players get started on the right foot. We are not, however, a "gimmie gimmie" shard. You will be expected to earn your way here, as all players before you have done.
We have: PvM/RP

PVP/PK in Felucca allowed and controlled duels with duelling grounds.
720 skill cap.
Scrolls of Power that allow you to raise your total amount of Stats up to 250 stat cap.
One account per person with one house per account.
Pre-built house or fully customise your home.
Blacksmith and tailor bulk order deeds.
Full gardening system.
GM quest point system.
Custom content.
The list goes on and on...

Although we are a young shard updates, custom content and improvements are done all the time and input/suggestions are always welcome.

Since Tenebrae was established, we have come a long way!

A lot of work has gone into the server lately.
We have an upgraded website, and a fancy new forum.
We have on-going weekly quests for players to get involved and rack up quest points.
Many bugs have been fixed, as we have implemented an in-game bug reporting system.
We also have more people assisting with development, and as always – anyone is welcome to give us their input.

We have a channel bot to help keep our chat channel clean, and an established, friendly environment, with experienced GMs.
