DStv Mobile arrives: Vodacom and MultiChoice partner

Nobody would want to use a restricted service like that. extreme fail.
 
seriously? are you frikken serious? relaunch of vapour-vision from 2005? five years of R&D? i'd rather sit on a bench and watch tomatoes mating. i will pay R89 a month to keep that stuff off my phone.

The new DStv Mobile service will offer subscribers 11 DStv channels for R59 per month or R19 per week while no additional data charges apply. The Mobile DStv channels are SuperSport Blitz, SuperSport Live, Channel O, Trace, CNNi, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Africa Magic, E Entertainment, Weather 24 and DStv Events.

Just when I thought MultiChoice couldn't get any more stupid...
 
Well, 29 Rand a Gig for a 1.5Mbit line for a 2Gig cap per month. That is if one can use the line for data. Is it shaped? (streaming only?)
 
45 minutes - surely this must be a good enough reason to fire these executives making these decisions. If I made a decision like that in my job I would be gone and I bet I am not earning these pricks salaries.

You lot really never though this one out - this seems more like a paid trial until they get the required spectrum.

No one should go for this product - consumers deserve more variety and freedom.

When Vodacom first experimented with streaming tv, BBC World was streamed via 3G and there was no cap. That was a great service. Wherever I was, if I was bored, waiting at Steers for my burger and standing in a queue at Checkers, I could tune in to BBC World and watch the news.

DSTV must be run by a bunch of morons. I'm seriously considering canceling mine.
 
I already downgraded to DStv Select 2 and I am very happy with the R400 saving I get from it.
