Poor sods cannot win. If they tried to claim political asylum while here their family back home would probably have been shot.

The general populous has been brainwashed to such an extent that I doubt some of them would ever recover should the government change.

You should have seen one of the Nat Geo Inside episode about the North. This woman gets her eyes fixed by some charity medical people and as soon as she starts to see she praises Kim Jong Il. Her blindness was easily fixable but Kim had barred all such medical charity groups thus making it impossible for her to see and she praises him when her eyes get fixed.

That's actually what I was referring to, just could not recall where I saw it. He's God over there and the majority of people are so brainwashed I don't think they will ever recover.
