Believe or not that's what this device is asking for. Does anyone out there own the HP iPAQ h6340? Please let us know what is in your MMS account settings and how you went about setting it up.
I seem to have got it working for Vodacom. I'm not sure if
all these settings are required.
Settings->Connections->Connections
Tap Advanced tab
Tap "Select Networks"
From the first drop down box select "My MMS server", if it doesn't exist tap new and enter name "My MMS server" and tap OK and now select "My MMS server".
Tap Edit...
If there are no connections tap New.. else tap Edit...
The name for the connection should be "Vodacom MMS" , select a modem make sure "Cellular Line (GPRS)" is selected
not "Cellulare Line" ie. the (GPRS) is important. Tap next the access point name (APN) must be mms.vodacom.net
Tap next, tap finish.
Tap the "Proxy settings" tab. Check both checkboxes the Proxy server is 196.6.128.13, tap advanced and set the http port to 8080. Tap ok, tap ok, tap ok, tap ok to leave the settings applet. I'm not sure how important the proxy settings are.
Now open Inbox, Tools->MMS settings.
"Connect via" should be "My MMS server", "Connect to Server" should be "Default server". Tap Servers tab tap "Default server" . The gateway should be 196.6.128.6 the server address "http://mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za"
Have you upgraded the firmware from HP's site? Hope this helps.
This works for me. I can send and receive MMS's.
