View Full Version : Skype problem/bug?
The past 3 or 4 releases from Skype have this odd effect with my pc - every 4 or 5 minutes or so the PC freezes for 5 seconds or so, mouse and everything just freezes, almost as if Windows has crashed.
A few mates I've talked to also experience this - anyone else have the same problem? If I roll back to one of the older versions everything is fine but the newer ones seem to be the ones that have this odd...... bug?

I was having the problem but it was a few versions ago. It would completely telkom the cpu. Since upgrading though its not really been an issue.
Been using this version 1.3.0.60 with coference call to UK no problems at all.
.60? I'm still on .57 and upgraded not so long ago...
But I haven't experienced the freezing up problem [yet]...

Just checked, .60 comes out this month. I've been having a different prob with Skype's last few versions tho: Auto-Away doesn't work anymore. Works fine on the other pcs in the house, just not theone.. any ideas to why? The only programs I'm aware of that are constantly running are WMP, MSN, Yahoo!, mIRC and....yup those're pretty much the only things I keep open 24/7

Just checked, .60 comes out this month.Already been released.
I have found that the newer versions of Skype don't work properly for me.
I am using version 1.2.0.48 which at least doesn't have those persistant error pop ups that the latest versions have.
Error popups? none here [yet]
