Telkom’s Competition Commission battles continue

Good good, the sooner we get through this Hitler... ag I mean Telkom era, the sooner government will be forced to unbundle the local loop.

Scumbags. They rip us all off. Even if they get fined, who do you thing is going to pay? Their money comes from us. We're the ones that'll get nailed for this.

Our laws need to hold CEO/CFO types liable for this. They know exactly what they're doing, and get bonus after bonus for exactly such behavior. They should be nailed for this. Not us.

/Rant.

Damn. I hate Telkom.

Looks like I am the only one left who didn't sue Telkom.

I wonder...... If they have to pay a several billion rand fine - who get's that money ? The ANC government, or one of it's agencies ? Well then, it has nothing to worry about. If that is where the money goes, then it has nothing to worry about, because Telkom is owned by them, so they are taking from their left pocket and putting in their right pocket. Or am I wrong ?

The CC seems like a very competent company , is it privately owned?

It goes into the national treasury. This question gets asked and answered every time :D

I could not agree with you more about holding the CEO&CFO responsible.

TELKOM gets fined and then the service they provide gets even worse as then they cannot afford to maintain their infrastructure.

Pretty good ROI; government treasury gives 30% of 10% and receives 100% of 10%. :D

They should hold the directors personally responsible for this and take the fine from their pockets.
I look forward to seeing Ruben September mowing my lawn sometime in Novemeber :p

aaa but telkom is mostly owned by the government

Every single complaint in there would not exist if LLU was already implemented in 2001.
I recon Telkom should counter-sue government for dragging it's feet.

Haha so wait, let me get this straight! They get fined and they have to pay the government? So the government sees they are not able to buy the new BMW's, so they make sure Telkom has to pay, they get richer :D Or if they aren't doing it that way, they still have a win, win situation, they either get lost of money or get lots of money :D

How does one go about getting a job in government, I sure like the look of those BMW's:whistle:
