I think our forum has become very negative (for obvious reasons) but I think we should compliment MTN and Vodacom for their 3G rates I have traveled quite extensively in the 1st world the last year or so and our 3G rates are very very competitive....lets hope it stays that way! I love the fact that I can get all my mail and do basic surfing on my phone for very reasonable rates....

So - how long a contract did you have to sign in other countries ?

I agree! Of the best rates in the world, and they still have to purchase International BW at inflated rates. Well done to them.

They are actually much, much cheaper than the overseas guys which is pretty cool...

I agree. Though they raped you at first with those ludicrous R25-R50 per meg charges, at R2 per meg e-mail and light surfing on the go is now a reality for the average Joe :)

Companies can always do better, that's a given. The big thing here is that the price is reasonable for what you get which is more then what can be said about a certain fixed line telecommunications company :rolleyes:
I agree with all statements, the cost has drastically come down, but what I find even better is Sentechs offering now. Hopefully that will encourage the cell networks to drop their rates even more..

Lol I wouldn't touch sentech again even if they paid me to use them ! Their best option I think is to change their name and get new management...
