Telkom's new ADSL pricing structure for ISPs

Ok, that does it! If this stays as it is, I'm not even ordering ADSL for my new location! Won't be able to afford it...
 
They have rocks in their heads, that goes against everything ICASA mentioned in their report and ICASA has to agree to the pricing structure, so, either ICASA area bunch of hypocrates, or this is all BS.

I'm gobsmacked. I still fail to see how charging almost DOUBLE for an unshaped account is justified!!!! Is there anyone who can explain this? I want unshaped and I want to use 2Gb of traffic a month. Why on earth does it cost MORE than 2Gb of shaped????????

It doesnt make sense tho, comparing option1 with option 2+10% discount, you pay more for 3gig on option 2 shaped 3x1gig @ 54 than you would pay for option 1 3gig.

Killadoob - thats a discount per gig over 500gig pricing model, totally retarded tho.

Just searched iWeek's web publication, and there's no mention of it. Will go to the shop later to buy it... see it, scan it, and ask one of the mods to post it!

lets be optimistic tho, one day the ppl at telkom will stop... and say... "hey were EXTREMELY rich now, i think its time we stop raping this country". right?
Telkom are the only ppl atm who can stop there @(*&, every 1 else who is suposed to be able to is either to @#)(* stupid or on there payrole
 
How bout a 400GIG+ account for close to R30000 on a 1mbit adsl line? Sounds like a bargain rofl
 
Ok, so if we want a 512 connection with 30GB we'll have to fork out approx R2500. That works out to be approx US$380. To get the same thing overseas will cost between US$20-30. So we're paying well over 10 times more. How on earth can Telkom justify this? It's actually ludicrous. So much so that I find it more amusing than upsetting. Personally, I don't think Telkom will get away with this.

Then bye bye ADSL for me, thats daylight robbery, and I normally shoot robbers!!!.....or I go back to Germany and have 6 MB for 250 Rand.
