Isn't this the VF340 from Vodafone the same phone that Vodacom has bought in?

In the UK its 15 GBP (approx. 165 ZAR) on PAYG, therefore "once-off" in the UK (but locked to Vodafone in the UK). I think the article has a mistake I think those prices are "once-off".

This makes no sense, How is it affordable if its starts at R399 p.m?

It says they are smartphones, but if it has to run Opera Mini, I can assure you that's not a smartphone. It's just Java compatible.
