Hi :-)
I was waiting for MTN to offer the samsung galaxy S, but
I believe getting the phone with Vodacom, on the top up 315 will be a better option for me
as i want to use the airtime to buy data bundles and sms bundles.

I checked and I have over R600 on MTN airtime....what will be the best way to get my Galaxy S
as soon as possible?
Should i just go crazy this month?
If i cancel with MTN and convert my line to pay as you go, will I be able to keep my airtime?

thanks,
Bar1.

unfortunatley no :( once converting from contract to prepaid (and vice vers) you forfiet all airtime acumalated

Can I use this method "*141*6328*(sponsor’s cellphone number)*(rand value)#. "
to transfer the airtime to a prepaid number?

I am in exactly the same boat, I have mtn 3xx can't remember, I have been eligible for an upgrade since 1 st august, but I want the galaxy S so im waiting. I have R650 airtime balance and a truckload of sms's.

On vodacom I would have gotten databundels with my airtime, ages ago, but mtn does not have the facility, this is really irritating!

I don't want to loose my number; I know about number portability and still it seems like such a drag to get it all sorted plus then I will have to stay with mtn for another 3 months until my contract expires.

On a different point does any one know the availability of the galaxy s from mtn?

Cancelling your MTN contract is the best thing you could do.

My line got suspended 4 times during those 2 years...they wouldn't give me an explanation on why the line was suspended, they just activate it again.
and the last time i was unable to retrieve calls or sms's...
